Digital car finance: it’s easy, but is it safe?

We order our Maccas, do our banking, and meet our dates online. It’s nice and easy, plus it’s 2019 – we’re well and truly in the digital age. But what about car finance – what can be done online, and how do you know it’s safe?

Applying for car finance online with Sprint

It’s nice and easy

Here at Sprint, we like to keep car finance super easy. Everything can be done online using any device, including your mobile. No printing, no scanning, no need to move from the couch. It’s as easy as ordering your Big Mac online!

It’s super fast

We know you’ve got better things to do than spend hours applying for a car loan – like shopping for your dream ride! Which is why our online application takes less than 5 minutes to complete, with instant approvals in 60 seconds.

It’s safe

Most of us have had a mysterious email about an international Prince we’ve suddenly inherited millions from – it’s best to have your wits about you when it comes to the money and internet! When providing your details to Sprint, you can be safe in the knowledge we’ve helped 24,000 loyal customers, and have bank grade digital security.

Bank statements

For instant approval, as well as a completed application, we also need to view your recent bank statements. This can all be done as part of your online application – simply select your bank and log in to retrieve and send your last 3 months bank statements.

Providing your bank statements in your Sprint Finance application is done using a secure bank statement retrieval service, provided by New Zealand’s leading credit agency Illion. The process does not give any access or control over your bank accounts; it simply retrieves an electronic copy of your bank statements. Learn more about Verifying Your Income

If you don’t wish to use this service, we won’t be able to provide an instant decision, but you can still verify your income using one of the following steps:

Upload your bank statements manually. Login to your Internet Banking, download your statements in PDF format, and upload them through your customer portal after completing your application.
Email your bank statements. This is the slowest option and is likely to increase the time it takes to process your loan application. Login to your Internet Banking, download your statements in PDF format, and email them to hello@sprintfinance.co.nz
